Brett Spain founded aHealingVisit, which is operated by Spain Companies LLC. He wrote the comparison engine behind this site. He also writes the code that ingests CMS data. It pulls home health, hospice and nursing home records from the CMS Provider Data Catalog. Those records become the pages you browse here.

He is not a clinician. He is not a nurse, a doctor, a social worker or a hospital discharge planner. Nothing he writes here is medical advice, and he cannot tell you which kind of care your family member needs. That decision belongs to the treating doctor and the care team.

What he can do is show you the same public record they see. Every rating on this site comes from CMS Care Compare. Nothing is rated by aHealingVisit alone, and no provider can pay to change a number. Advertising is a flat monthly fee, always labeled, and it never moves a rating or a search position.

Every figure in a post here is checkable. Some are read from our own database as the page loads. The rest are quoted from a named public file, with the date we read it. Where we cannot check a thing, the post says so instead of estimating.
