Data sources

Every rating, address and phone number on this site traces back to a CMS public dataset. Nothing is purchased from a licensed real-estate or people-data vendor, and nothing is hand-collected from another directory’s listings.

Primary sources

• CMS Provider Data Catalog — home health, hospice and nursing home general information, quality measures, CAHPS survey results, ownership records and service-area ZIPs.
• Medicare Care Compare — the consumer-facing program these same CMS releases power; used to cross-check our numbers.
• Google Places — optional real photos and public reviews for a facility, shown only when Google has a verified listing for that address. When we do not have a real photo we say so; we never substitute a stock or generic image for a specific facility.
