Advertising on aHealingVisit
A flat monthly fee that buys presentation — your words, your photos, your phone number, and in one plan a clearly labeled sponsored slot. It does not buy ratings, ranking or search position, and it never will.
Why the fee is flat
Home health, hospice and nursing home care indexed here is paid for by Medicare. The federal Anti-Kickback Statute (42 U.S.C. 1320a-7b(b)) makes it a crime to pay or receive anything of value for referring a patient whose care a federal health program pays for. So we do not sell leads, do not take a cut per admission, do not run a cost-per-call product and do not accept a percentage of anything. A fixed monthly amount, agreed in advance, that does not move with how many patients you admit — that is the whole model, and it is the only model this site is built to support. Our billing tables have no column to record a lead, a call or an admission in.
What advertising cannot do here
- Ratings are untouchable. Stars, inspection results and patient-survey figures come from CMS Care Compare and are published as CMS reports them. No advertiser sees them before you do and no advertiser can change them.
- Ranked results are untouchable. Search order is computed from the federal record. Our ranking code does not read the advertising tables at all, so paying cannot move you up and declining to pay cannot move you down.
- Sponsored means labeled. A featured placement is marked Sponsored and shown separately from the ranked list. If a reader cannot tell which is which, we have failed.
- Nobody can be removed. Listings come from the CMS record. A competitor cannot pay to hide you, and you cannot pay to hide a competitor.
- No outcome claims. We will not publish copy about recovery rates, readmission rates or survival, from an advertiser or from ourselves.

Questions we get asked
Does paying get us more patients? It may get you seen by more families in your area, and it may not. We do not promise volume and we do not price on volume, because pricing on volume is exactly what the statute forbids.
Can we pay per lead instead? No. Not at a higher rate, not on a trial, not through an intermediary.
Do you sell our contact list? No. We do not sell information about families either, and we do not track visitors across sites.
