Privacy policy

aHealingVisit is a free, public-data directory. We do not sell personal information, we do not run an ad network, and we do not ask you to create an account to compare providers. This page explains exactly what we collect and why.

We are not a healthcare provider

aHealingVisit does not provide medical care and is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. We do not request, store or process protected health information. Please do not send us diagnoses, medical records, insurance identifiers or other health details — including through the chat assistant.

What we collect

• Search inputs. The ZIP code, location and filters you enter to run a comparison. These are used to return results and, in aggregate, to understand which regions to improve coverage for.
• Chat assistant conversations. If you use the assistant, your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a reply. Anthropic processes them as our service provider under its own privacy policy. Do not enter health details or anything you would not want transmitted to a third-party model.
• Referral parameters. If you arrive from a link carrying campaign parameters (utm_source and similar), we keep them in your browser's sessionStorage so we can tell which channels bring people here. They are cleared when you close the tab.
• Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records IP address, user agent, timestamp and requested URL for security, abuse prevention and debugging.
• First-party analytics. Our own analytics, used across the sites we operate, stores a hashed version of your IP address and an approximate, city-level location derived from it — never your exact address — and this data is never sold.

We do not use advertising trackers, cross-site pixels or third-party analytics networks, and we do not build advertising profiles.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal information.
• We do not share your search activity with the providers listed on this site.
• We do not generate or sell consumer leads to home health agencies, hospices or nursing homes. Placement on this site cannot be purchased — see how the scores work.

Provider information

Facility names, addresses, phone numbers, ownership and quality ratings come from public CMS releases and, where available, public Google Places listings. That is information about organizations, not about you. Full detail is on our data sources page.

Advertising

Advertising on aHealingVisit is a flat monthly fee, always labeled, and never changes where a provider appears in results or what score it receives. We do not accept per-referral, per-lead or per-admission compensation. Advertisers receive aggregate campaign reporting only — never your individual activity.

Your choices and rights

Because we do not operate accounts, most data here is either transient or not linked to an identifiable person. If you have corresponded with us and want your correspondence deleted, or you want to know what we hold about you, email privacy@ahealingvisit.com and we will respond within 45 days.

California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA, so there is no opt-out to submit. Requests go to the same address above.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging care. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Retention and security

Server logs are retained by our hosting provider on its standard schedule. Search inputs are not stored against an identity. Traffic is served over TLS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
